Meet the PCB Team

Dave VillarDAVE VILLAR
President/Employee Benefits Specialist

Dave began his career in 1987 with Aetna Life and Casualty after attending San Jose State University. After two successful years as a life insurance and personal lines producer, he joined Engen & Associates in Gilroy. In this role, he specialized in providing employee benefits solutions to small businesses in the South Bay Area. In 1992 Dave ventured out on his own and opened Pacific Diversified Insurance and Financial Services in Morgan Hill and Gilroy. Over the next 11 years, Pacific Diversified became recognized as a leader in cutting edge employee benefit management throughout Northern California. In 2003 Pacific Diversified Insurance and Financial Services merged with Voorhies Parrish & Hussar and became Pacific Diversified Insurance Services, Inc. Dave remained with PDI as the Vice President and Business Development Executive. In June 2009, Dave left Pacific Diversified Insurance to start Pacific Coast Benefits, LLC. In addition to being the President, Dave manages the employee benefits department and continues to provide top quality services to his customers. In his spare time Dave stays very involved in the community and is the co-founder of the First Pitch Foundation.

Monica VillarMONICA VILLAR
CEO/Director of Finance

Monica began her career in the Family Insurance business in 1985 working at Dick Engen and Associates as an Account Manager. Her career path has kept her in the Financial Services and Banking Industry for 25 years. Her background in Banking, Finance and Customer Service has been a factor in the successful launch of Pacific Coast Benefits. As CEO and Vice President of Pacific Coast Benefits Monica is in charge of the day to day operations of our company. Monica is deeply involved in the Gilroy community volunteering for several charities and nonprofit organizations.

Glenda NagelGLENDA NAGEL
Client Services

Glenda has been working with Dave Villar since 1998.  She has vast experience in Account Management and Client Services.  As our Lead Account Manager Glenda has 13 years of experience helping our customers and their employees with the day to day issues that arise with regard to benefit plans and eligibility issues. Glenda is available to aide not only the HR Administrator of your group, but also to assist the employees with their benefit concerns. 

Tracy KrausTRACY KRAUS
Employee Benefits Specialist

Tracy brings over 5 years of industry experience to the Pacific Coast Benefits sales office. Tracy specializes in Individual, Medicare and Small Group Sales. She assists clients with quotes, enrollments, presentations and account management. Tracy started in the business as an Account Manager with Premier Benefits as an Account Manager and made the transition to sales shortly thereafter. In 2008 Tracy was given a Top Producer Award from Anthem Blue Cross for her small group and individual production.

Joyce BrionesJOYCE BRIONES
Client Services/Human Resources Specialist

Joyce has over 18 years of hands on experience in various facets of Human Resources with both small and large operations. Fluent in Spanish, she has worked in a wide range of industries including manufacturing, product distribution and high tech environments. As a strategic partner, Joyce assists our clients to incorporate best practices, policies, procedures and advise on HR compliance within their organizations. She has a degree in Communications and Certification in Human Resources from UC Santa Cruz. In addition Joyce is also an Account Manager assisting customers on a daily basis.

Michael BlancoMICHAEL BLANCO
Client Services

Michael has over 3 years of experience in the insurance industry. He has knowledge in small group employee benefits account management. He values his clients and enjoys assisting them with day to day questions regarding their group benefit plans and eligibility inquiries. In addition, Michael started in the insurance business managing section 125 flexible spending accounts and section 132 qualified transportation benefits at a fortune 500 company. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Long Beach and a Master of Arts degree from California State University, Northridge.
